HOW WE CAN HELP
Practical improvements.
A safer home. A brighter tomorrow.
Ramps, grab bars, handrails, and other modifications to support safer movement at home.
Safer steps, secure handrails, and improved entrances to reduce everyday fall hazards.
Widening doorways and other accessibility improvements that make entering and moving through a home easier.
Help with hoarding-related safety hazards, general disrepair, and other conditions that put safe daily living at risk.
For individuals on low fixed or no incomes within 5 miles of the Acworth Walmart. Assistance depends on eligibility, project needs, available funding, and volunteer capacity. Applying does not guarantee assistance.
CONTRACTOR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Use your skills to help someone who needs your services but cannot afford to hire you. Donate your skill, labor, and materials completely free to the recipient, with no bill to Haven Manor, Inc.
Live or work outside Acworth? You are welcome to volunteer. The 5-mile boundary applies to the recipient’s home, not where the contractor comes from.
THE REWARDS OF GIVING BACK
Experience the satisfaction of using your trade to make a home safer for someone who could not afford your services.
Place your business signage outside the residence where you are working to showcase your contribution and advertise your services, with the resident’s permission.
Haven Manor, Inc. will provide a signed donation slip on its letterhead. You can record what you contributed and your normal project charge for your own records.
A recorded project value is not automatically a tax deduction. The value of donated time, labor, or services is not deductible as a charitable contribution. Donated materials and certain unreimbursed expenses may qualify, depending on the circumstances. Ask your CPA what applies to your situation and which records to keep.
